ANIMAL HOUSE RATTERY | WHERE THE RATS RULE THE HOUSE!!!

Here is the NEWEST boy in the rattery...a Blue Rex Dumbo w/ head spot that I adopted from Candirats Rattery in Sacramento...

He is so adorable and playful! He was such a sweetheart sinse the first night I brought him home! He melts my heart!

Alf, I call him Alfie!

Alfie when he was much smaller......

Alf is a complete character, he is the most playful, rascally, bouncy rat I have ever seen! I saved him from one of Petco's "Snake Food AND/OR Pet" tanks........it made me so sad how they were living there with hardly any physical human contact at all. All that determined whether they had a good life or not was whoever came and picked them out of the tank. Knowing how they have such wonderful personalities and loving them so, this concept nearly brings me to tears. Little Alfie was so full of life and enery just a couple of hours after being in his new home. When the guy that worked at Petco just picked up the tube that he and his two brothers were sleeping in and dumped it over and shook them all out (as if they were Ketchup in a GLASS Ketchup bottle) they did not want to be caught nor touched (can't say I'd blame them). When he finally caught Alf, I held him and tried calming him down because he nearly jumped out of my hands! I gave him back to Nitwit and as soon as he put him in close enough range of the tank, Alfie dived back in to get out of his hands as fast

as he could and ran right back in the tube. The guy left but I still stood there starring at the little guys feeling sad for them and wishing I could've saved ALL their rats from "Death by Snake". Not two minutes after he left, here came little Alf, out from hiding in the tube and right up to me on the other side of the glass. I starting talking to him and he stood up to get closer to my face level. He sniffed at/towards me, then darted off and right back to me as if he wanted to play! Just then he was mine! I immediately had to go and let Nitwit know not to sell him to anyone while I finished shopping because he was coming home with me! It was almost like he knew my intensions and when we got home it was like he knew what I had saved him from because he was so full of life and just so happy to be alive! Currently Alfie and I have wrestling matches on a blanket,on the bathroom floor for 1-2 hours every night! It's "Mr. Tough Guy" Alfie VS "The Twins" (My Left & Right Hands)! We tagteam him while he runs around and jumps on us then throws himself on his back and nips on us with his ears back and eyes closed. That little brat bites hard sometimes! Not really, he just plays a little more rough than my girls (like a boy) but that's what I love about him! He would never hurt me nor break skin or anything like that. I've never had a rat that was viscious ever! I have only seen one like that in my entire lifetime.It had been abused by humans for a long time so it would try to bite you if you stuck a finger in it's cage whether it smelled like food OR NOT! All of my rats play and wrestle with my hands and even give me (and our family) kisses. They are alot of fun (among other things)!
